I have discovered that the main benefactor from the credit crisis is the International Monetary Fund, the IMF, which is the public face of the Knights of Malta.

The IMF now hold the majority of control on the International Banks, and funny enough they are the same people that pay President Obama.

And guess which family runs the IMF - Rothschild!

Norooz is an International Festival, so hijacking such an event only alienates your cause, as you will offend not just learned spectators, but also other people groups who celebrate it.

Also, I was comparing the "appearance", but to the untrained eye, they will get the wrong impression, as many at this event did.

Critism is what makes free countries free, if you read the western papers, then you will understand, but until you understand this, your views will always and only be taken very lightly.

Hello there dear friend. I think you have not touched upon a few important facts.
Newroz has never been celebrated in London by other Middle Eastern people(s) in London as much as Kurds. This festival is celebrated every single year by them and there has never been less than 10,000 Kurds at the celebration. Newroz has never been celebrated in Trafalga sq and it was the Kurdish people who fought for this right. The Kurdish community centres in London came together and had meetings almot every week with the London mayors and people of authority inorder to celebrate Newroz in Trafalga sq. HOWEVER they gave Iranians, Afghans and other(s) the oppertunity to represent their communities.

The reason why there was alot of PKK banners is because without the PKK there is no Kurdish people. Their way of life, culture and future is and will be dominated by the ideologies of this man. He is the one that liberated the Kurdish people and is fighting against the opressive middle eastern governements for the good of Arabs, Iranians, Turks, Azeris and others alike. The PKK is primarily fighting for Kurdish rights however if you read and do a little research you would know that its a INTERNATIONAL struggle with fighter of other ethnic backgrounds - German, Turkish, Persian, English and other(s)

I find it very disrespectful that you can compare a man like Abdullah Ocalan who liberated Kurds to someone like Sadaam who killed thousands and thousands of them.
Also, if you disrespect him you are effectively disrespecting a nation of people which is not right.

If you have not bothered to understand the PKK or Abdullah Ocalan then I do not believe you are in any position to criticise them.

Tbh I was glad for this. I quite like fireworks on bonfire night, but I hate that the run-up the bonfire night usually consists of teenagers lettings off fireworks all night. It gets annoying.

There seem to be more fireworks tonight and I just rang my local Sainsbury's and they are out of fireworks. I now think it is a combination of the Chinese shortage, the 5th occurring on a Wednesday, a very wet Saturday last week , possible long-term decline in firework use with a bit of recession thrown in.

Hi, I agree, I'm near wealthy Highgate, London and it's gone from a two week cavalcade of flashes and bangs to a few bangs recently combined with a few flashes last night . I sent round an email entitled "Do quiet skies foretell doom" a few days ago to friends. One local did agree but thought that it had been decreasing the last few years. I'm no economist but wasn't the fear of spending what made the Japanese 1990's recession last a decade and that was in an economy that had something real to sell, not services mainly in a totally discredited banking sector like the UK. The similarities to that are interesting and the Nikkei today is at levels of 25 years ago, ominous for anyone mad enough to gamble on the stock market.

Considering that upto 2 million people demonstrated on the streets of London before the Invasion of Iraq, then I think it is fair to say that he (Blair) is partly responsible. The question is not whether Iraq had WMDs, because there is evidence that shows that Iraq did, but whether many innocent civilians have died, and the answer is a resounding YES.

Interesting article - and fair in the "underlying force" business. All the high ideals of the innocent - naieve - politician will hit reality when they are fully cognisant of the facts.

However, with reference to Blair your analysis is inaccurate, if you don't mind me saying so.

Do you really think you'd be free to criticise leaders if and when fundamental Islamists take over the west?

Obama, from what I can see is an empty suit. Blair had two years before coming to power to explain what he was about. And on coming to power he brought devolved government to Britain, in particular the historic agreement ending centuries of strife in Northern Ireland. He also saved Muslims from ethnic cleansing by Christians in Kosovo, and had to work on Clinton to get America onside. He also defeated the hand and head decapitators in Sierrea Leone, where he is now lauded as a hero. Hardly the actions of a man trying to keep power from the people, or with some secret agenda.

Apart from that, largely thanks to Blair, Britain punches above its weight internationally, as it should, as the cradle of western democracy.

The "war on terror" is real. Ask Pakistan as well as numerous Middle East countries where they are picking up the pieces from it weekly. And it did NOT start with 9/11 and Bush's response on behalf of the American people. Even if it had, so WHAT?! It's a tough enemy to fight when disparate and hard to recognise.

Seems the battle for hearts and minds has some way to go.

Personally I'd feel safer with McCain in the White House, but we have to cope with what democracy throws up. At least WE have that choice.
